This interactive Italian A1.1 beginner course is perfect for learners who do not have a basic understanding and want to start learning Italian in a friendly, online group setting.

Nuovo Espresso 1: A1.1 Overview
Chapter 1: Primi contatti (First Introduction)
- Greet and exchange pleasantries.
- Ask for and share names.
- Introduce yourself and ask about someone’s origin.
- Say goodbye.
- Ask for and provide a phone number or address.
- Request someone to repeat information.
Chapter 2: Io e gli altri (It and the Others)
- Start a conversation with polite phrases.
- Introduce others.
- Ask for and give personal information.
- Inquire about language skills and share your own.

Chapter 3: Buon appetito! (Enjoy Your Meal!)
- Order at a café or restaurant.

Chapter 4: Tempo libero (Free Time)
- Talk about leisure activities.

What to Expect
- Final Exam: At the end of the course, you will take a written and verbal exam. A score of 70% is required to progress to the next level.

Terms and Conditions
- Your course fee includes one digital copy of the learning materials. If you’d prefer a hard copy, you can purchase one from our recommended supplier at an extra cost.
- Public group classes are designed for 30 academic hours per CEFR level. If the group grows to 5-7 students, we’ll extend the program by 10 academic hours. If only two students enroll before the course starts, the group will shift to a semi-private format with 20 academic hours.
- Want to switch to a different group or schedule? No problem! Just let us know at least 7 days before the course starts.
- All our teachers are native speakers of the target language. If your teacher falls ill or has an emergency, we’ll arrange a substitute who’s fully briefed on your progress.
- Once you’ve started with your group, switching to another group or schedule isn’t possible.
- Please note that course fees are non-refundable once the group classes have begun.
- We can record group lessons for later viewing, but only if everyone in the class agrees before the course starts.
- At the end of every program, you’ll take a final exam (both written and verbal). To move up to the next CEFR level, you’ll need to score at least 70%.
- After completing your final exam, you’ll receive a progress report, recommendations, and a certification for your hard work!
