Function
Develop skills to understand and express:
- Polite requests, commands, and questions

Competency Levels
- Reading: Hiragana, Katakana, 300 Kanji, 1600 words (JLPT N4 level); identify meaning in short texts such as ads, tickets, brochures, and short narratives.
- Writing: Hiragana, Katakana, 300 Kanji; write simple paragraphs, letters, and guided compositions.
- Listening: Understand polite questions, commands, and uncomplicated speech; identify intent and general meaning.
- Speaking: Construct sentences and polite requests; express intent and meaning accurately.
Topics
- Personal: Family, friends, home, rooms, health, school, hobbies, student life, shopping, clothes, pets, and animals.
- Abstract: Schedules, prices, size, quantity, symbols, colors, numbers, days, dates, time, directions, weather, and seasons.
- Cultural: Holidays, festivals, geography, monuments, cultural and historical figures, food, customs, travel, and work.

What to Expect
- Final Exam: At the end of the course, you will take a written and verbal exam. A score of 70% is required to progress to the next level.

Terms and Conditions
- Your course fee includes one digital copy of the learning materials. If you’d prefer a hard copy, you can purchase one from our recommended supplier at an extra cost.
- Public group classes are designed for 30 academic hours per CEFR level. If the group grows to 5-7 students, we’ll extend the program by 10 academic hours. If only two students enroll before the course starts, the group will shift to a semi-private format with 20 academic hours.
- Want to switch to a different group or schedule? No problem! Just let us know at least 7 days before the course starts.
- All our teachers are native speakers of the target language. If your teacher falls ill or has an emergency, we’ll arrange a substitute who’s fully briefed on your progress.
- Once you’ve started with your group, switching to another group or schedule isn’t possible.
- Please note that course fees are non-refundable once the group classes have begun.
- We can record group lessons for later viewing, but only if everyone in the class agrees before the course starts.
- At the end of every program, you’ll take a final exam (both written and verbal). To move up to the next CEFR level, you’ll need to score at least 70%.
- After completing your final exam, you’ll receive a progress report, recommendations, and a certification for your hard work!
